SUMMER PARKS PROGRAM
“I’m bored!” “There’s nothing to do!” “I never get to have any fun.” Sound familiar? School will soon be out and you will be hearing those phrases again unless… you join Clare Parks and Recreation for an unforgettable “Road Trip Across the United States” with the Summer Parks Program! The Summer Parks Program is a ten-week program designed for kids ages 5-12 (children must have finished Kindergarten) that offers kids the opportunity to get out of the house and to participate in exciting activities like arts and crafts, outside games, indoor games and much, much more all evolving around this year’s theme of “Incredible America: Road Trip Across the United States” with Clare Parks and Recreation! Your child won’t want to miss this exciting adventure!
The Summer Parks Program is a ten-week day camp program from June 7 - June 18, June 28 - July 30, and August 9 – August 27. The camp meets from Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., at Clare Middle School Gym/Lobby! Registration for the Summer Parks Program is going on now at Clare City Hall.
The Summer Parks Program offers families the opportunity to pick the weeks that work best for them! The fee for each week of the Summer Parks Program is $35 for one week or $315 for all ten weeks for city residents and $40 for one week and $360 for all ten weeks for non-residents. Daily rates are also available at a fee of $8 per day for residents and $10 per day for non residents.

MOMS ON THE MOVE WILL SOON BE BACK IN ACTION!
Dinner is finished, the dishes are done, and it’s a beautiful evening. You know you should go out for a walk but the motivation is just not there…so let Parks and Recreation help you regain that motivation and a little free time with Moms on the Move, a walking program for active ladies.
The program is simple; we’ll meet at 7:00 p.m. at Shamrock Park every Tuesday evening June 1-August 17 for a one-hour walk throughout Clare. Discover how beautiful our little town is by getting out of the house and giving yourself some time to relax. Parks and Recreation will provide a route; you come prepared to walk and get in a little girl time. There is no cost for the program and if you can’t make it, no problem. Modern technology will allow us to communicate and send out routes and advice. If you’re interested, meet us at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 1st. We’ll sign up there and walk. See you then! Everyone is welcome. Dogs on leashes also permitted.
