Mission Statement
The mission of the Clare Police Department is to protect the rights of all people within the City of Clare so that they are free from crime and able to live in peace. Clare Police Officers will serve citizens and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.

Goals & Objectives
- Communication between staff and community
- Write grants to improve police services without tapping into City funds
- Consideration of implementing community based programs such as Neighborhood Watch, GREAT and PRIDE in the schools, and other community-based programs.
- Form strong relationships with the City Manager, City Commission, Community, Schools, and others
- Provide monthly reports to the City Manager and City Commission
- Provide a Chief's Corner column monthly in the City newsletter and local newspapers informing the community of what the department has been doing
- Meet with Michigan State Police Post 63 Commander and County Sheriff monthly to discuss issues affecting our communities
- Meet with citizens and other department directors monthly to improve our policing services
- Provide ample training to police staff
